Krishna helps Kuchela

Kuchela and Sri Krishna are childhood friends. They studied and played together while they were in Nanda Gokula. As time passed and both of them turned older, they got separated. Krishna turned into the king of Mathura. Kuchela remained a poor brahmin. On knowing that his childhood friend Krishna turned a king, Kuchela’s wife asks him to meet Krishna and get some aid to feed their children. Though reluctant, Kuchela starts to Mathura, taking only some rice flakes as a visiting gift to his childhood friend. As he reached Mathura and met Krishna, looking at the riches of his friend, Kuchela hesitates to give rice flakes as a gift to Krishna. But Lord Krishna accepts them with utmost happiness as Kuchela brought them with sincere love and friendship. Kuchela does not ask for financial help as he feels bad to ask. He talks for the whole day with Krishna and returns to his home in the evening. When he reaches home, he gets surprised to see the change in his home. His wife, home, and kids all become healthy, rich, and happy. Kuchela thanks in his heart to Krishna who helped them just as a return of a small gesture of true friendship.

Moral: Acts done with sincerity will bring fruits no matter how small is the size of the good deed.

Rama killed Vali

Vali is the king of Vanaras in Ramayana. It happens that he kidnaps the wife of Sugriva, his brother. Sugriva approaches Rama for help in killing Vali as Vali is an unbeatable warrior. Then Rama starts a fight with Vali only to realize that he cannot beat him straightway. Then, when Vali is not focusing, Rama leaves an arrow from his back and kills him. Vali then says to Rama that it is not fair to fight one from the backside. For which Rama replies that those who did bad deeds that are forbidden as per Dharma should not talk about fair things in other aspects.

Moral: If we protect dharma, dharma will protect us.

Ganesha wins Supreme Hood

Once Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati got confused on who to make the Pratham Pujya from among their two sons. Then they thought of an idea and asked both Ganesha and Shanmukha to travel the world and return to Kailasa. Whoever returns first will become the King! Now listening to this, Shanmukha starts on his peacock vehicle to travel the world. Ganesh, on the other hand, falls into a dilemma. His rat is not faster than his brother’s peacock nor is he slim like Shanmukha to cover the Earth fast. But Ganesh is more aware of Dharma and knowledge. Thus, he chants Ram naam and circumambulates his parents Shiva and Parvathi thrice. For every round he completes, Shanmukha could see Ganesha had to him. Thus, once Shanmukha returns to Kailasha, he understands what happened. He salutes Ganesha and as Ganesha taught everyone that parents are the most important in the world than running across the world, he wins the Supremacy of Gods.

Moral: Parents are the most important in this world.
